NOTHING WORTH DOING IS EVER EASY

It’s about this time every semester I feel the full weight of Uni. Sometimes I find myself asking the question through gritted teeth, “Why am I studying again?!

But without fail every single time I am reminded of the famous words of Theodore Roosevelt,

“Nothing in the world is worth having or worth doing unless it means effort, pain, difficulty. I have never in my life envied a human being who led an easy life. I have envied a great many people who led difficult lives and led them well.”

Staying married (and happy) isn’t easy, but worth it.

Executing new ideas isn’t easy, but it’s the innovative thinkers and risk takers that change the world (I happen to be surround by many).

Being a parent isn’t easy, but its certainly of one life’s most precious privileges and greatest responsibilities.

Pursuing God above everything isn’t easy, but our absolute highest calling.

Forgiving someone who’s hurt you isn’t easy, but necessary if you actually want to be free.

Leading a church, a business, a team, a project, YOURSELF isn’t always easy, but a blessing to many.

Bottom line. Just because it’s difficult, doesn’t mean you should quit. Just because it stretches you, doesn’t mean it’s not God (that’s probably a good indicator it is).

Keep going, give it your best and never stop leaning into His grace.
