WHAT I THINK NEED VS WHAT I ACTUALLY NEED

At 10, I thought I needed a new huffy bike to be cool (true story).
At 12, I thought I needed a boyfriend to make me valuable.
At 15, I thought I needed a different body to feel good about myself. πŸ™
At 17, I thought I needed to know exactly what I wanted to do with my life.
At 20, I thought I needed to find "Mr Right" and get married ASAP.
At 25, I thought I needed a baby to stick to the schedule of my life plan.
At 30, I thought accolades, achievements and influence equaled success.
At 34, I’ve realised the little things aren’t little.
My husband and kids are actually the most precious things my hands will ever hold.
I have access to hope, peace, joy, identity and meaning right now, despite my circumstances.

Most of the time what I REALLY need is an internal shift, not an external one.
