I AM THANKFUL

I am thankful for the children that wake me up at night, it means they are still safe and well.

I am thankful for the loads of laundry yet to be done, it means I am blessed enough live with those I love.

I am thankful for a marriage that's not picture perfect, it means we learn to really love, accept, forgive.

I am thankful for the traffic I get stuck in,

it means I own a car and don’t have to walk.

I am thankful for the endless assignments on my mind, it means I am privileged enough to receive an education.

I am thankful for the mess caused by many celebrations,

it means my home is built on laughter community.

I’m thankful for my sore feet at that end of day, it means I am able to walk, run and jump.

I am thankful for the bags under these weary eyes, it means I have vision to see my own reflection.

I am thankful for the people who have hurt me, it teaches me to let people off the hook.

I am thankful for the calls I get late at night,

it means I can be an ear to listen and shoulder to lean on.

I am thankful for the sermon I need to write,

it means I am privileged enough to preach.

I am thankful for my Church, a place of imperfect people seeking out a perfect God.

I am thankful for every weakness, it makes me rely more on Jesus.

I am thankful I am a sinner, It makes me realise the beauty of God’s grace in calling me a saint.

Thankfulness is a matter of perspective.

P.S Don’t just be give thanks on thanksgiving. Have an attitude of gratitude everyday. We all have a lot to be thankful for.
